Mindy Mangialardi

Mindy is originally from Port Byron, IL, a small town on the Mississippi river. She moved to Normal in 1974 to attend ISU. That is also where she met her future husband, Bob. Mindy has a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in counseling. While a student at ISU, in addition to her major courses she took various music classes, including several years of voice lessons with Peter Schuetz. Mindy joined the ISU student housing department full-time in 1981 and eventually became the associate director of operations. After retiring from ISU, Mindy joined the PFT board as the business manager. During her performing years, Mindy held lead roles in classic musicals like Fiddler on the Roof, Chicago, and The Medium, as well as in various musical revues including PFT’s productions of Closer Than Ever and I’ll Be Seeing You Again. A favorite memory is sharing the stage alongside William Warfield and Charles Morris in ISU’s production of Showboat. Mindy and Bob have three adult children and a daughter-in-law who live in DC, Reno, and Peoria.
